Directed by Santosh Sivan. With Shweta, Apeksha Bhat, Bobby Darling, Ghanteshwar T. Guru. Swetha, 13, discovers that her uncle Gautham dresses as a woman once night has fallen. Intrigued, she asks him about him, and he confesses her that his dream would be to escape to Koovagam, a little city in the South of India, where transvestites gather to perpetuate the myth of Aravan.
Navarasa means Nine Emotions in which Nava signifies nine and Rasa signifies Emotions. The nine emotions included in Navarasa are Shringara (love/beauty), Hasya(laughter), Karuna (sorrow), Raudra (anger), Veera ( heroism/courage), Bhayanaka (terror/fear), Bibhatsya (disgust), Adbutha (surprise/wonder), and Shantha (peace or tranquility).
Navarasa. The Rasas are the mainstay of Performing Art, which tries to present various phases of human life. The state of rasa is established due to bhava which is the cause of emotion. Navarasa is accepted worldwide and been used in all art forms. Even though Abhinavagupta is the one who found the ninth rasa usually, the rasas are together called as Navarasa and is considered to be explained by Bharata Muni. When Navarasa is compared to colors, Shringara is depicted by the color green and Hasya by white.
